Our Technology
Our Technology
Sustained-release technology in ABC’s suppositories, are of benefit due to increased bioavailability. ABC has found that the addition of SRT improved the bioavailability of glutathione by 30%, compared to the suppositories without SRT. These absorptions were improved enormously by the addition of a proprietary and natural polypeptide. Excellent prolonged absorption and high bioavailability were obtained, exhibiting both high plasma level and prolonged absorption. Our research shows that ABC’s preparations containing SRT may be superior in a rectal preparation with prolonged action, giving a high plasma level compared to standard suppository bases without ABC’s SRT! Why do we use probiotics in our suppositories?
APO-808 is a proprietary blend of probiotic strains that is unique to our suppository technology. ABC has discovered certain bacteria strain combination of probiotics can support the absorption and utilization when combined with various ingredients. Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that exist in our large intestine, called the microbiome, which is exactly where the suppository is absorbed. Using probiotics via suppository makes for a unique route of delivery as it bypasses the acid in the stomach that normally destroys most probiotics taken orally. In addition it has been clinically shown that oral probiotics may not even colonize your gut at all. Due to the need for the probiotics to be incorporated into the gut wall, research has shown we might be wasting our money taking most probiotics orally. ABC’s probiotic strains have been combined with our special suppository base, which consists of organic palm oil. This combination rests on the gut wall over a 5-8 hour period, to allow for the incorporation and colonization of the bacteria in the large intestines. Besides the unique delivery of the probiotics via suppository route, it has been scientifically shown that many nutrients are brought into the bloodstream by various strains of beneficial flora in your microbiome. The scientists at ABC have isolated various combination of flora that work specifically with the nutrients it is combined with. APO-808 is designed to work with Glutathione in particular to down regulate the inflammation, through normalizing the gut microbiome, as well as allowing maximum absorption of Glutathione. The strains contained in the APO-808 Blend have been shown in the research to support healthy inflammation and immune function.

Dosage and Storage Instructions: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Keep the suppository in the refrigerator so it remains hard before removing the wrapper. Put on a finger cot or disposable glove, if desired (available at a pharmacy). Lubricate the suppository with a water soluble lubricant such as K-Y Jelly or coconut oil, not petroleum jelly (Vaseline). If you do not have this lubricant, moisten your rectal area with cool tap water. Lie on your side with your lower leg straightened out and your upper leg bent forward toward your stomach. Lift upper buttock to expose the rectal area. Insert the suppository, pointed end first, with your finger until it passes the muscular sphincter of the rectum, about ½ to 1 inch in infants and 1 inch in adults (If not inserted past this sphincter, the suppository may pop out). Hold buttocks together for a few seconds. Remain lying down for about 5 minutes to avoid having the suppository come out. Discard used materials and wash your hands thoroughly. Suggested dosage is 1 (one) suppository daily or 3 times a week. Depending on your daily schedule, it is recommended that you insert the suppository prior to bed. Consider taking Lucitol™ during fasting programs.

Terpenes
Terpenes

Terpenes: These are the NON psychoactive components in cannabis. They are the fragrant essence of ALL essential oils! They give plants their unique smell and they also hold the healing benefits within the plants. Terpenes have been studied extensively and are at the forefront of interest of the pharmaceutical companies, due to the unique and safe profile they can have. Terpenes that have been specifically shown to reduce pain, are anti inflammatory and reduce anxiety have been incorporated into NeuroDiol™.* These terpenes also have been shown to improve CBD and other cannabinoids utilization and uptake into the brain.*
Myrcene: is a terpene that occurs often in highly fragrant plants and herbs such as mangoes, hops, bay laurel leaves, thyme, lemongrass, and basil. Myrcene is produced by numerous cannabis strains, and some rodent-model studies have suggested that it might lend sedative effects. Main effects are Anti-inflammatory, Analgesic (pain relief), Antibiotic and Mood Elevation.*
Another place you’ll find myrcene is in mangoes. Anecdotal evidence suggests that eating a ripe mango prior to consuming cannabis may accentuate or extend the effects of cannabinoids; some have suggested that this is due to the fruit’s concentrations of myrcene, which is naturally synergistic with CBD and allows cannabinoids to more easily bridge the blood-brain barrier.

Limonene: is an aromatic cannabis terpene produced in the flower’s resin glands. In isolation, it’s commonly associated with fruity and citrus aromas. Inhalation of limonene vapor increases serotonin and dopamine levels in key regions of the brain that are associated with anxiety, depression, and OCD. Limonene’s potential therapeutic benefits have shown potential in the following applications: Elevated mood*, Stress relief*, Antifungal properties*, Antibacterial properties*, May help relieve heartburn and gastric reflux*, Improves absorption of other terpenes and chemicals by way of the skin, mucous membranes, and digestive tract* (Ref)
Alpha & Beta Pinene, as you might have guess it, has a strong scent of pine. Commonly found in conifer trees, parsley, dill, basil, and rosemary, alpha-pinene is easy to detect. A study in 2012 showed that alpha-pinene was a potent anti-inflammatory agent against Acute Pancreatitis, an inflammatory disease with an unknown cause. A study in 2011 showed that alpha-pinene, along with all the different cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis, interact synergistically and amplify anti-inflammatory activity. These results show that alpha-pinene support lower inflammation management for diseases such as arthritis, Crohn’s, and multiple sclerosis.* Both alpha-pinene and beta-pinene proved to be effective antimicrobial agents against bacterial and fungal cells. In 2011, alpha-pinene was tested as a potent treatment against a bronchitis virus that was previously hard to treat, since antibiotics don’t work on viruses. Although not effective against all bacteria and viruses, alpha-pinene was shown in research to support the immune system in a wide range of these infectious diseases. More studies need to be performed to assess the effectiveness of alpha-pinene on all bacteria. (Ref) Bronchodilator: In a 2011 study, alpha-pinene showed promise as a bronchodilator by opening up the upper respiratory tract (at low exposure levels), which can be helpful for people with asthma. Memory: We’ve all heard of the forgetful stoner stereotype. The cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) plays a part in decreasing short-term memory attention. The alpha-pinene terpene, however, has been shown to counteract these memory impairing effects. Alpha-pinene plays a strong role in inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity in the brain, which helps you retain memories more efficiently. (Ref) Alpha Phellandrene: This terpene smells herbaceous, citrusy, minty, peppery, and a little woodsy. The next time you smell mint leaves or a lavender candle, appreciate the Alpha Phellandrene terpene smell!

Alpha–phellandrene significantly inhibited the production of the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6. Alpha–phellandrene Promotes Immune Responses in Normal Mice, Through Enhancing Macrophage Phagocytosis and Natural Killer Cell Activities. (Ref) Alpha–phellandrene has modulating effect on neutrophil migration and mast cell degranulation processes. (Ref) Boswellia: or Indian frankincense, is a resin herbal extract from the boswellia tree, which natural medicine practices have used for centuries. Its anti-inflammatory effects mean that it may help with inflammatory conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and asthma. We included this amazing extract into our products due to all of the positive healing properties
Linalool: is a naturally occurring terpene found in many flowers and spices including lavender and coriander. It gives off a complex yet delicate floral aroma, and while its effects are myriad, it is in particular one of the substances used most widely to reduce stress. Humans have inhaled the scent of certain plants, including many containing linalool, since ancient times to help lower stress levels, fight inflammation, and combat depression.* Linalool has been the subject of many studies, including a recent one in which scientists allowed lab rats to inhale linalool, while exposing them to stressful conditions. It was reported that linalool returned elevated stress levels in the immune system to near-normal conditions. Linalool’s Effects and Benefits include anti-anxiety, Antidepressant, Mood Elevation, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-epileptic and Analgesic.* (Ref)

Senescent cells accumulate with age! Senescent cells are cells that go into a permanent state of sleep like a zombie, and continue to consume energy and produce lots of oxidation! Senescent cells secrete pro-inflammatory chemicals form something scientists call SASP (senescence-associated secretory phenotype).
The SASP’s are thought to significantly contribute to aging! (Ref) Senolytics, which remove SASP’s, are a great strategy for promoting health and longevity.
Poor energy levels at a cellular level are a headwind for the body to properly clear out these zombie cells. Mitochondria, the power house of the cell, is a key component to this cellular energy. Both NAD+ as well as mitochondria health decline with age. Fisetin, Resveratrol, Ginkgo B., EGCG, Lutein, Quercetin & Curcumin are all heavily researched

polyphenols such as
resveratrol, is a
sirtuin-activating compound, and has been shown in laboratory studies to extend the life of simple organisms like yeast, worms, and flies.
[1] Like the other compounds, it has also been shown to be reactive in many different arrays of biological activities, raising the possibility that any drug generated from fisetin would have too many side effects to be useful.
[1][2] Fisetin has shown anti-cancer activity in studies on cells and model animals conducted in laboratories, and appears to block the
PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.
In lab studies, it also has been shown to be an
anti-proliferative agent, interfering with the
cell cycle in several ways.
Fisetin, like some other
flavonoids, has been found in lab studies to be a
topoisomerase inhibitor, which may turn out to be a carcinogenic activity or an anti-cancer activity – further research is needed.
[6] Fisetin has been shown to be an effective
senolytic agent in wild-type mice, with effects of increased lifespan, reduced senescence markers in tissues, and reduced age-related pathologies.
[7] A clinical trial in the U.S. is currently underway as of October 2018 to show effectiveness in humans.
[8] In studies conducted on cells in a laboratory, fisetin inhibits the activity of several pro-inflammatory
cytokines, including
tumor necrosis factor alpha,
interleukin 6, and
Nuclear factor kappa B.
[5] It has also been shown in lab studies to upregulate
glutathione, an endogenous antioxidant.
[5][9] Fisetin also has direct activity as a
reducing agent, chemically reacting with
reactive oxygen species to neutralize them.
[9] Based on lab studies, it appears that fisetin lodges in
cell membranes and prevents oxidative damage to
lipids in the cell membrane.
[9] Fisetin, like other flavonoids, has a planar structure, with multiple carbon rings. Fisetin is able to scavenge free radicals as a result of its electron donating capacity, which is due to the presence of two
hydroxyl groups on one ring and a hydroxyl group on another ring.

Why Suppositories
Why Suppositories
Why Suppositories?
Many folks are uneasy with even mentioning of rectal suppositories until they realize how very powerful this approach can prove to be. For some navigating around this phobia could make the difference between health and sickness or enhanced performance fort those biohackers!
There is a growing acknowledgement of the need to provide safer, more cost-effective treatments that can either reduce the need for pharmaceuticals (ie: drugs) and/or to reduce their side effects. There is a mountain of research to demonstrate vitamins, extracts, nutrients, herbals and nutraceuticals can do just that, if only they could be absorbed in such a manner as to allow greater therapeutic effect.
Everything, when administered orally, is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract into the portal venous circulation and passes through the liver (first pass metabolism), where the process of metabolism or breakdown begins. Suppositories, like intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and transdermal methods of administration, bypass this “first pass” effect and are absorbed into the rectal veins without encountering liver metabolism. Fortunately, the rectum is filled with blood vessels that offer direct access into the body’s bloodstream. This allows for rapid access to systemic circulation.
When nutrients are put into our special suppository base, they are protected and delivered through Slow Release Technology, along with the support of the probiotics APO-808. ABC‘s™’s proprietary suppository base is formulated with ingredients that promote the movement of the active nutrients from the base to the rectum. This technology facilitates solubility, and allows a compound that is usually insoluble in water (hydrophobic) to dissolve, and thus be absorbed. This is crucial for poorly absorbed compounds.
ABC’s suppositories are easy to insert, non-irritating, rapid-melting, fully absorbed in 5-10 minutes, and you’ll not know its in there after insertion.
